JAMES CAMERON THE TRUE AVATAR.
Not by sheer coincidence, but the principle of sincronicity in action, the Forum of Sustainability in Manaus (AM in BR) last month brought us James Cameron the head of the Avatars. Differently from Al Gore who had returned to the USA in the same day , Mr Cameron accepted the invitations of various tribes to be affected by the Belo Monte hydro-electric dam on April 24th, where earlier capital from pension funds, the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDS) and foreign funds are to be put together to feed the hunger of a decadent Capital. What we know and they know too, is that electricity generation shall have water for no more than 4 months, after that just mud to power the turbines. The big Avatar Cameron is already leading a World Campaign against the dams construction with his supportive wife to Pop Star Sting, Trudie, his ever present partner. Few remember that Sting the British rock group singer, is responsible for supporting the Xingu Park Area, during dictatorship years, which took us to ECO 92 in Rio.
Few Brazilians are aware of the damage to be brought about to Biodiversity and native Indian tribes as the dam is built. But from overseas comes our Avatar , from fiction to reality, to fight for Nature and Life. He has sided with us to face an ever increasing battle against powerful individuals, interest groups and organizations who thrive on greed and personal gain, turning their backs on generations to come.
